The Story of Midad

How Midad was born

Midad was born on cold winter nights, when temperatures dropped below zero and we were writing a line of code, glancing at a cup of tea grown cold.

It was never a business plan — only a need. A need to write in our own language, to build tools that honour Arabic rather than pasting it on as a late translation. A need to make something by hand that still carries something of Aleppo.

Midad means ink. And within ink lies everything: the word, the code, the story, the craft. Under Midad's roof, two branches:

Raqeem — where we engrave apps. Every app here was born from a real need we lived through, then released for everyone.

Sandal — that carries the stories. A small Arabian boat, drifting between the shores of civilisation, ferrying those who care to listen.
